William R. Pyne Jr. bought the farm (his words) June 30, 2021 in Hiram, OH. Bill was born November 6, 1949 in Chardon, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents William R and Phyllis G. Pyne and by his younger brother Douglas W.
He is survived by his loving sister Elaine and Brother in law Martin Haney of Hiram, OH. And nephew Daniel Haney of Wickliffe, OH.
A long time Tampa resident he was also a Crestwood High School Alum.
Bill was a 1972 Graduate of Ohio University, Athens, OH. Where he played in the college marching band, served as president of his local chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma and worked on the campus radio station.
His College radio experience led to a 40 year career in broadcasting covering eight different cities including Tampa Bay’s WQYK and being a traffic reporter on WFLA. His accomplishments led to inclusion in the 1989/90 and 1992/93 editions of Who’s Who in Entertainment.
Bill will be cremated and buried near numerous family members at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Chagrin Falls, OH.
