Violet Childs, age 100, formerly of Auburn, passed away March 4, 2021. Telephone operator, Packard Electric employee, beautician, homemaker, great country cook and outstanding pie baker. Past President, Solon VFW Post 1863 Ladies' Auxiliary. Beloved wife of the late Elton Childs. She is survived by a son, Richard (Kimberly) Childs, daughters Sandra Woolf and Joy Williams. Grandchildren, Thomas (Morgan) Woolf, Kimberly (Marc) Braden, and Matthew (O'Hara) Williams, four great-grandsons, a sister, Beryl Francis, four special nieces, Carolyn Coleman, Sandra Szana, Elaine Franks, and Marcia Kubuj, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
