Sallie C. Marchant

Sallie C. Marchant, 91, passed away on August 2, 2023. She was the widow of Reginald C. Marchant and Bill Schroeder. She shared many great years of marriage with both. Born in Wayland, NY, she was the daughter of Katharine and Charles Capron. She was a third-generation graduate of Cornell University. Sallie was an accomplished teacher, realtor, and businesswoman. Sallie belonged to the Church of the Holy Angels in Bainbridge, OH. She was very athletic and participated in golf, walking, skiing, and swimming to name just a few. She was very sociable and enjoyed throwing parties, shopping, and eating out. Sallie will be remembered for her zeal for life, being a great listener and her close relationships. She is survived by children Kammie (James), Charles (Barbra) and Peter (JoAnn), grandchildren Erin, Jimmy, Kendall, Victoria, Mandy, Paolo, Kyle and Sarah, great-grandchildren Gio, Capron and Cameran. There will be a graveside service for immediate family only. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Leukemia Foundation
