Robert A. Richardson age 76 of Chagrin Falls died peacefully at his home after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on November 9, 2015. Loving Husband to Carolyn, Big Brother to Gail Taylor (David), and Uncle to Will Taylor. Bob was a Harvard Law School graduate and spent most of his legal career in Cleveland at Calfee Halter and Griswald. In the not for profit world he was involved with the Cleveland Playhouse, The Counsel on World Affairs, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. In 1989 Bob and Carolyn fulfilled a long time dream of moving to Maui where he continued his law practice and taught Business Law at the University of Hawaii Maui College. Bob also volunteered for many not for profit organizations. In 2000 he was presented the T.S. Shinn Award by the Maui Chamber of Commerce. Its highest Honor for community service. His involvement with not for profit organizations included Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Maui Chamber Music Festival, The Maui Symphony, Legal Aide of Hawaii, and Hui No’Eau Visual Arts Center. In 2000 he was presented the T.S. Shinn Award by the Maui Chamber of Commerce. Its highest honor for Community Service.
