Raymond L. Simpson

Raymond L. Simpson, 89, passed away September 24th, 2023. Ray leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Joanne Farrow Simpson. His sons James (Julia) and Donald (Susan). He was preceded in his death by his son Robert. He was a loving grandfather to Melanie Malec, Jared Simpson, Kyle (Casey) Simpson. Lindsey (Scott) Buchanan, Kevin (fiancé Allison) Simpson, Samantha, and Michael Simpson. He adored his 8 great-grandchildren. He was the loving brother to Melvin Simpson (deceased) & Linda Hull. Ray was a former resident and graduate of Chagrin Falls. He moved to Auburn Township where he was a volunteer fireman for 25 plus years. He founded Auburn Fence Corp. from which he retired 23 years ago and moved to The Villages at Lady Lake, Florida. Ray was an avid golfer and member of the O.F. Club. He enjoyed playing cards at home and with friends. He was a member of Classic car clubs. Ray will be dearly missed by his family and many friends in The Villages and Ohio.
