Paul T. Evans, Jr., 86, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 23, 1937, in Cleveland, OH, Paul lived a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Paul is predeceased by the love of his life, Katherine, almost ten years ago. Paul leaves three children, Debbie (Ron Royster), Paul (Stephannie Evans), and Beth (Keith Ledoux). Paul also leaves five loving grandchildren (Cole, Pierce, Parker, Brooke, & Davis)
Paul was a kind soul, a loving spouse to Kathy Evans for over 50 years, a devoted parent, a proud grandparent, and a friend to all he met. He dedicated his life to family, creating a warm, nurturing home filled with laughter and love. Our family will forever treasure his unwavering support, wise guidance, and unconditional love. Throughout his life, Paul exemplified strength, resilience, and determination. He faced life's challenges gracefully and always found the silver lining in every situation. His positive outlook on life served as an inspiration to all who crossed his path.
Paul was educated at University School in Shaker Heights, OH, class of 1955. He furthered his education at Kenyon College in Gambier, OH, class of 1959, where he was a member of Kenyon’s football team and the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity.
Paul had an accomplished career as a 3rd generation florist and Real Estate Professional in the Chagrin Valley. Evans Flowers was a specialty florist based in the heart of Chagrin Falls for over 40 years. He was also a realtor for over 40 years, retiring in 2015 from Howard Hanna in Chagrin Falls, OH. Paul was known for his exceptional work ethic and dedication to his customers and coworkers. Paul was deeply connected to his local community and often volunteered as a Deacon at the Federated Church of Chagrin Falls. He selflessly gave his time.
Paul also had a wide range of interests and hobbies, including broadening his wish to establish meaningful traditions with his family. He was passionate about outdoor activities such as golf, skiing, gardening, playing ball with his kids and grandkids, and traveling - and was always there for family events. Paul was a huge fan of his kids as they grew, and subsequently was a big supporter of his grandchildren and enjoyed going to every event - rain or shine. His enthusiasm was infectious. Paul was always kind and gentle, no matter what the circumstances. He had an adventurous spirit and zest for life that inspired everyone around him.
As we say our final goodbyes, let us celebrate the remarkable life of Paul. "Though Paul ("Dad" and "Gramps") may be gone from our sight, he will never be absent from our hearts."
