        Olwen Cooper (nee Elston) age 97, beloved wife of Ronald Cooper (deceased), mother of Ian, Colin, and Alasdair (Melissa); Grandmother ”Nan” of Ian T. Cooper (Heather), Jessica Dove (Carlos), Bryan, Brittney, Todd, Tyler, Elston “Ellie”, Alasdair “Bubs”, and Oscar; Great Grandmother of Breanna (deceased), Breleigh, Peyton, Cailyn, Kameron, Jordyn, and Malana, sister of Eugene (deceased), Carmel (deceased), and Ivor (deceased); cousin and friend to many. Olwen passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 24, 2023. Olwen Cooper served her country during WWII in the Women’s Land Army. Known throughout the area for her skill as a master seamstress, she studied her craft at Henderson’s Department Store in Liverpool, England.

    She enjoyed gardening, crafting, reading, cross country skiing, Scottish country dancing, and travelling. She accompanied her sister-in law, Alma, and cousin Olive on many trips to Italy, France, Switzerland, and throughout the British Isle. Her dry sense of humor and wonderful smile will be missed by all who knew her.

    A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 18, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Burns-Lindow Building, located at 8465 Bainbridge Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Rescue Village, PO Box 116, Novelty, OH 44072 or rescuevillage.org
