Marilyn S. (Shaw) Vild

Marilyn S. Vild passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 25. She was born in 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio to Ruth and Wade Shaw. She is survived by her beloved husband Thomas Joseph Vild; her children Kathleen V. Rogers and Christopher T. Vild; and her grandchildren Clark, Henry, George, Lily, and Louis. Marilyn graduated from Bedford High School, attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and graduated from Case Western Reserve University. She taught school in Coral Gables, Florida before returning to the Cleveland area where she was active in volunteer work including Huron Road Hospital, Chagrin Falls Sassy Cat, and Chagrin Valley Women’s Club. Marilyn was a devoted mother and wife and a true and loyal friend to many. The family will receive friends at Stroud~Lawrence Funeral Home at 95 South Franklin Street in Chagrin Falls on Tuesday, January 31 from 3:00 to 5:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chagrin Valley Women’s Club.
