Marilyn Lois Clasen of Chagrin Falls passed away peacefully on January 21, 2018. Born August 9, 1937 to Paul E. Clasen (deceased) and Catharine Hall Clasen (deceased). Sister of Robert A. Clasen (deceased) (Mary Ann Deceased). Mother to Kristine Cerny (David) of Pepper Pike, Ohio and Heidi Rudolph (James) of Aurora Ohio. Grandmother to Jessica Kocak (Brian), Jay Rudolph, Drew Cerny, and Cate Cerny. Graduate of Charles F. Brush High School, 1955. Graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, 1959. Member of Delta Gamma sorority. Marilyn was a devoted daughter and sister, and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a dear and long-time friend to many. She was talkative, gracious, an avid reader, quick to laugh, and liked to give thoughtful, unexpected gifts. In her 70’s, Marilyn took up ballroom dancing which became her joy and passion. She took over 1,00 lessons from the Fred Astaire studio in Chagrin Falls, and won awards competing in the U.S. and internationally. Friends and family are invited to gather in honor of Marilyn on February 24th from 4-5:30 pm at the Church in Aurora, 146 S. Chillicothe Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
