Maria Luisa (Pichi) Caldwell

     Maria Luisa (Pichi) Caldwell passed on to eternal life on March 18th, 2025. Maria Luisa was born on August 12th, 1928, in Florence, Italy. As a child, she was a ballet dancer and a member of the “Florence Children’s Theater.” Following World War 2, she immigrated to the United States taking domicile in Jacksonville, Florida and worked for Barnett Bank (Bank of America) for over 30 years. She also served as a volunteer for St. Vincent’s Hospital. She and her late husband of 64 years, Grady B. Caldwell, moved to Chagrin Falls, Ohio in 2006 to be close to family in their retirement.

     Maria Luisa is survived by her son Dr. Bryan Caldwell (wife Amy) and grandchildren Bradley and Haley.

     A mass will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church, Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Maria Luisa’s life.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hamlet at Chagrin Falls Holiday Fund 200 Hamlet Hills Dr, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022 in her honor.

     Maria Luisa will forever be remembered for her grace, her spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her.
