On Monday, January 4, 2021, Lurleen (Lolly) Naomi Bredbenner, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 92.
Lolly was born on May 1, 1928 in Hazelton, PA to Samuel and Patricia (Murphy) Balliet On July 3, 1950 she married Roy E. Bredbenner and was married for 63 years until his death in 2013. They raised their two children, Lynn Mitchell (Bredbenner) and Scott Bredbenner in South Euclid, Ohio before moving to Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Lolly had a passion for teaching and received her Masters in Education from Kent State University in 1969. She taught at Richmond Hts. Elementary School for 20 years in Richmond Hts., Ohio. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious laughter and contagious smile.
Lolly was also an avid member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, the Red Hats Society, Friends of Women's Safe, Friends of the West Geauga Library, Retired Teachers Association and the Chagrin Valley and Russell Women’s Clubs. She also spent time volunteering for the Geauga West Hospital and was a volunteer firefighter for South Russell with her Husband Roy.
Lolly was proceeded in death by her father Samuel, mother Patricia and loving husband Roy. She is survived by her children Lynn (husband Charles) and Scott (wife Karen), her grandchildren Scott (fiancée Bianca), Rochelle (husband Brandon), Eli (wife Chasity) and Alexandra (husband Andrew) and her six great-grandchildren.
