It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John A. Cahill. Surrounded by loved ones John passed peacefully at the age of 79 at the family home in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. John was born on May 22, 1945, to Thomas Clarence and Lilian Cahill in Cleveland OH. 1963 graduate of Chagrin Falls High School. He continued his education at Kent State University, with a Graduate Degree in Audiology. John had two passions in life. Being an Audiologist gave him so much pleasure. Assisting his patients in diagnosing and management of their hearing loss was a true passion. It was an extremely difficult decision for him to retire in November after 53 years. His most desirable hobby & passion was in the realm of horses. Specifically in the Arabian world. He is well known in the industry as an expert in the knowledge of the genealogy of the Half Arabians. John loved breeding and raising his horses and was rewarded with multiple National Champions. John loved the horse world and all the people in it. Before John’s recent move back home to be with his family. He called Southern California home for over 30 years. Proceeded in death by his Father Thomas Clarence, Mother Lillian Marie and his Brother Thomas James Sr. He is survived by his niece Cynthia Clare, nephew Thomas James Jr, and Sister-in-Law Francess Claire. Per John’s wishes, a formal funeral service will not be held. A private interment will be held at a later date in Chagrin Falls. At that time, he will be laid to rest with his family that has preceded before him. In lieu of flowers we ask that a donation be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve or to any Charitable Organization that guides your heart in John’s name. John Loved Life and Lived It His Way! You will forever be missed by your family and the dearest of friends near and far…
