Joan Taggart passed away peacefully at the Hospice of the Western Reserve on April 12, 2021. Raised in Chagrin Falls by her loving parents Bob and Evelyn Ebersold, her profound interest in medicine took her to a lifetime of work in healthcare. She had a deep connection with the natural world which sustained her throughout her lifetime which led her to the Holden Arboretum where she volunteered many hours and hiked many miles. Other passions included her home, music, and beers with friends at her kitchen table where there was virtually always a bouquet of flowers from her garden or greenhouse, and her pets which provided endless joy. Her love and appreciation for orchids took her to Cleveland Orchid Society where she served as its secretary for a number of years. She is survived by her sister Judy Trivette and niece Jessica Mesloh, both of North Carolina, many friends and cousins, as well as her beloved cats Bootsie and Molly. Her friend Dave Krofcheck provided a cherished! dimension to the final years of her life. Joan's courage and humor battling immense challenges left a lasting impression to all who knew her, and we are blessed with her gifts of endless memories of joy and laughter.
