Joan (Toth) McQuown

Joan Toth McQuown, 93, of Moreland Hills, Ohio, passed away on July 4, 2025.

Joan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 31, 1931, to Arthur and Dorothy Toth. She attended Euclid High School and graduated in 1950. She went on to graduate from St. Luke’s School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for a short time before marrying.

In 1956, Joan married Robert M. McQuown, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Mindy Saltz (John), and her son, Scott. Her son Rob passed away in 2006. Joan will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Kailey Uhl (Edward) and Patrick McQuown, and by her beloved great-grandson, Eddie. She was also preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Patricia Sugden.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held on Sunday, July 27th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Solon. Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Gardens of Western Reserve Hospice.
