Joan Frances McGrew, age 77, of Bainbridge, Ohio passed away on March 3, 2021. Beloved mother and grandmother, she was known to her family as “Mimi”. Born on May 25th, 1943 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, she lived most of her life in Bainbridge Township, spending many years as a favorite bus driver for Kenston School District.
Joan was happiest when she was with family. She also enjoyed gardening, watching birds, listening to Elvis, and completing crochet projects for her loved ones. She loved cats and always had a furry feline friend in the home. She had a passion for solving puzzles of all kinds – her favorites were scrabble, sudoku, and jigsaw puzzles. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and sense of humor.
Joan was proceeded in death by her father James Francis Geldart, mother Muriel Geldart and sisters Margaret and Linda. She is survived by her partner Frank Grecar, her children Daniel McGrew (wife Sally), Kelly Fyffe (husband David), and Susan McGrew, her grandchildren Darcy Beckler (husband Adam), Deanna Fyffe (fiancé Nestor), Maxwell McGrew, and Julia McGrew.
A private celebration of her life will be held by her family.
