James R. Plavcan, age 78, of Auburn Township, OH passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2017. Loving husband of 39 years to Susan (nee Miller). Dear father of Greg (Karen), Jonathan (Amy), Lisa (Kevin), and Joseph (Jeannine). Grandfather of Kyle, Justin, Jacob, Carter, Quinn and Jillian. Brother of Gil (Linda) and the late Robert. Brother-in-law of Larry (Jean, deceased), Howard (Xlee) and Barbara (Ronald).
Jim had a long successful sales career in the steel industry. He was proud to have served 3 years in the U.S. Army as an Investigator in Military Intelligence. Jim's lifelong passions included aviation (he was rebuilding an Aeronca airplane at home) and motorcycles. He was a talented man who could fix anything and his friends and family called on his talents all the time. He loved and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. The family will host an Open House/Memorial/Celebration of Life for Jim at Adam Hall in Auburn Township from 11 a.m. til 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 26th.
