James Clifford McWilliams, 80

James Clifford McWilliams passed away peacefully with family in Chagrin Falls Ohio on August 12, 2015. Born February 12, 1935 in Columbus Ohio, he graduated from Ohio State University College of Engineering 1957, member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and the Ohio Staters. Served in US Air Force from 1958 to 1960 where he achieved rank of Captain and spent a two-year overseas tour in Naha, Okinawa. Jim had a 43-year career with the Bethlehem Steel Corporation Sales Division living in Columbus, Chagrin Falls, and Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Always active in community affairs, Jim was a member of the Federated Church of Chagrin Falls. He served on boards of YBMC, Columbus Jaycees, and the Hermit Club. Jim was also active in Ohio Staters, Business Advisors of Cleveland, Cleveland Roamers, F.O.E.#2436, Golden Gate Lodge#0245, and The Country Club. Enjoying retirement since 2000, he and Susie wintered in Sarasota Fl. Jim indulged himself in golf and they associated with Church of the Palms.  Survived by wife Susie, sons, Buck of Twinsburg, OH, Timothy of Tucson AZ., and daughter Peggy of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. His brother Bob, and wife Saunny of El Dorado Hills CA, nephew Justin of Fair Oaks CA, niece Lauren of Sandys, Bermuda: Five stepchildren, Douglas I. Garver of Baton Rouge LA., Theodore M. Garver, of Edmonton Alberta, Robin Cort of Prospect PA, John I. Garver of Amsterdam NY, and Benjamin G. Garver of Pittsfield MA. Services will be held August 20, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Federated Church at 76 Bell St, Chagrin Falls, OH.
