James E Lother passed away after a brief illness on April 22, 2025, at Chardon Health Center where he was living. He was born and raised in Auburn . Jim or “Jimmy” suffered a life altering snowmobile accident when he was 17 years old that led to a very different life. For a time he was able to drive, and work at a grocery store. In the last years he required more assistance with daily living functions. Jim loved anything outdoors, and if it had been possible, he had the goal of being a forest ranger, Jim also loved to laugh and joke as any family or caregivers over the years would attest to. Jim is proceeded in death by parents, Victor and Frances Lother and brother Carl. Jim is survived by brothers Paul, Gary and sister Julie (Lother) King, nieces and nephews. Graveside Service 10:30 AM Tuesday June 17 at Auburn Cemetery. Arrangements by Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home Chagrin Falls, OH www.stroudlawrence.com
