Irene Marie Gajdos- Canfield ( nee Fedor )

December 27th 1921 – November 16th 2022


Irene entered into eternal rest on November 16th, 2022, just 6 weeks shy of her 101st Birthday.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Dolence (John) her four grandchildren Denise Dolence – Wakeman (Scott), Brian Dolence, Jennifer Lane (David) and Michael Gajdos. One great grandchild, Jay and four grand dogs, Harper Lee, Louise, Bogie and Brooklyn.

Irene lived most of her life in Solon, Ohio and enjoyed spending her winters in Key Largo Florida. She and her first husband Julius owned the Greenville Inn in Chagrin Falls for many years.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and was always ready to shuffle some cards and play Pinocle. She was a long time member of the Solon Garden Club, serving many years as President and was active with the Solon Beautification Committee. Irene loved cooking, traveling and eating out. She made friends wherever she went, flashing her smile and showing off her famous dimples.

Irene was proceeded in death by her husbands, Julius Gajdos and Halsey Canfield; and by her son Kenneth Gajdos.
