Herbert Lederer Obituary

Herbert Bruce Lederer (Bruce) of Aurora, Ohio passed on January 9, 2016 after 86 great years of life, service and love. Bruce was born, raised, and lived his entire life in the Cleveland area. His major contribution to the community was serving as President of the Lederer Terminals Warehouse Company, whose dockside operation was a recognized landmark on the Lake Erie working waterfront in the mid-1900's. Operations were later moved to Maple Heights. The company was started by Bruce's father, Herbert H. Lederer. Bruce contributed to the formation of the Cleveland Foodbank, serving on its Board of Directors. He was later named President of the American Warehouse Association. His love of foreign travel and photography enriched the lives of those who knew him. Bruce will be deeply missed by his loving wife Diane (Aurora, OH), sons Jeffrey and Charles (New York, NY), Michael (Atlanta, GA), John (Seattle, WA), daughter Michele (Twinsburg, OH) and eight grandchildren. THERE WILL NOT BE A PUBLIC MEMORIAL SERVICE. Those friends that wish to honor Bruce's memory are encouraged to make a tribute gift to the National Parkinson Foundation at http://parkinson.org.
