Harvey Joseph Schach, 87, of Moreland Hills passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was born on September 8, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to Harvey Ernest and Dorothy , Gerberick, Schach. Harvey graduated from Shaw High School in 1945 and continued his education at Case School of Applied Science. Harvey served in the Air force stationed out of Pensacola Florida. While in college Harvey began his long career as entrepreneur, building his own businesses, including Power Brake Service and Equipment Co. Inc. and others. Harvey is survived by his wife of 66 years, Harriette Werther; four children, Christina Robinson (deceased), Cheryl (Christopher) Snyder of Berwyn, PA, Constance (Stewart Wilson) Schach of Moreland Hills, OH, and Jay (Sandy) Schach of Chagrin Falls, OH, Seven grandchildren; Brian (Heidi) Robinson of Cary, NC, Sarah and Mark Wilson, Laura and Amanda Snyder, and Kara and Blake Schach; three great grandchildren, Aidan, Arwyn, and Aylin; two sisters, Mary (Dave) Gottchalk of Bloomfield, MI and Pat (Art) Gottchalk of New Bern, NC. A private burial will be held on Monday, July 13th. Family and friends will gather on July 14th at 5:00 pm at The Church of the Western Reserve, 30500 Fairmount Blvd, Pepper Pike, OH 44124, for a memorial service and a celebration of Harvey's life.
