Obituary

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023 Fred Meyers, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at age 88.

Fred was born on July 24, 1934 in Sarasota, Florida. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis of 65 years, daughters Karla (Chuck) Viers, Kami (Dave) Wilt, grandchildren Dylan Lugris, Nicholas Viers, Madison and Olivia Wilt and great-granddaughter Azalia Viers.

He was preceded in death by his daughters Karen and Kim, and son Kurt, his parents Martha and Ferdinand and siblings William, Arthur, Robert, Raymond, Evelyn and Eleanor.

He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Funeral and Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic doctors, nurses and aides for their outstanding care and support.

Memorial contributions may be made in Fred’s name to The Wounded Warriors Project, The Humane Society of Summit County or the Charity of your choice.
