Frank Remington Robinson was a resident of Chagrin Falls since 1986. Born and raised in Chattanooga, TN, Frank attended Baylor School for Boys and came to Ohio in 1975. He attended Denison Univ., where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and graduated in 1979 with a Degree in Geology. Frank went on to marry Kathy Alder in 1982, pursue a degree in Architecture from Kent State Univ., settle in Chagrin Falls, and have four children.
Frank had many hobbies including scuba diving, home building projects, photography and taught himself C.A.D. in the early 90’s to keep up with technology in the world of architecture. He was also a member of the Chagrin Valley Jaycee’s. A favorite place of Frank’s was Deer Island, on Upper Saranac Lake, NY, where his mother’s family vacationed since 1912.
Although Frank’s marriage ended in 1998, he remained in Chagrin Falls and worked most recently for the Austin Company as a senior architect, where he retired in 2015. Frank was a loving and devoted father to his four children, all CFHS graduates and in the last several years, enjoyed trips with them.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Carol and Jim Robinson of Chattanooga, TN, and is survived by his sister Carolyn Hart of Chattanooga, TN, brother, Lee Robinson of Ashville, NC, and his beloved four children James Remington of Boulder, CO, Katherine Sibyl of Nosara, Costa Rica, Luke Ruffner of Missoula, MT, and Margaret Lyon of Tremont, OH.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 7th from 4-6pm at Stroud Lawrence. Donations in Frank’s name can be made to the Chagrin Valley Rec Center.
