          Faith Marlene Degen age 85 of Chagrin Falls passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2016. Loving Wife of the late Donald C. Degen. Mother of Mark Vedder (wife Ellita) of Chagrin Falls and Denise Eichmann (husband Kenneth) of Crystal Lake IL. Grandmother of Katherine, Nicholas, Jennifer (Ryan), and Matthew (Ashley). Great Grandmother of Anna Grace, Emma Joy, and Owen James Wyatt. Born in Buffalo, NY. Faith attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges followed by Buffalo State Teachers College.  She taught elementary school, both public and private for 45 years, retiring from Chagrin Falls Schools in 1997 where she specialized in Elementary Education and reading for 25 years. Faith was a world traveler extraordinaire, having sailed 95 cruises covering six continents and five world oceans in her life time. She shared many of her travel experiences with friends and family through her annual Christmas card letters. Family will receive Friends from 3-6 P.M. Sunday June 26, 2016 at Stroud~Lawrence Funeral Home 95 S. Franklin St. Chagrin Falls, OH. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday June 27, 2016 at the Funeral Home.
