Elaine was born July 27, 1923 in Mason City, Iowa. She and Chuck met in German class at Shaker Heights High School. They married in January of 1942 and enjoyed an amazing life together filled with family and good fortune. She was a tireless partner and mother who devoted her life to her family. She supported her husband’s demanding career while providing a warm and nurturing environment full of opportunity for her sons. Elaine was the consummate “can-do” mom. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her world. She was an amazing and unique matriarch who sought the best of everything for the ones she loved. She was small but mighty, and fiercely loyal. Elaine was fortunate to live a long, full, and healthy life surrounded by her family.
