Dolores (“Dee Dee”) Joan Stanczyk

Dolores Joan Stanczyk (née Locke), age 83 of Chagrin Falls, OH and formerly of Patchogue, NY passed away peacefully on March 23, 2015 after a valiant struggle with Alzheimer’s.  She was born on May 4, 1931 to Stephen and Anna Locke  (née  Habasinski) in Brooklyn, New York.  She attended Sayville High School in West Sayville, NY and later married Edward Stanczyk (deceased).  Beloved sister, mother and grandmother.  Dee Dee was beautiful, funny and selfless. She enjoyed the beach, cooking, 50's music, Frank Sinatra, and spoiling her loved ones.  She will be remembered for her sweet nature and kind spirit.  She is survived by her children:  Jennifer Jewett of Hudson, OH: Julie Constant (Joseph) of Aurora, OH: and Jeffrey Stanczyk (Rhonda) of South Russell, OH:  beloved grandchildren Max Jewett, Kristin, Kelli and Kory Kinley; Ashleigh, Stefanie, Jeffrey Jr., and Jillian Stanczyk.  Dolores is also survived by her siblings, Edward Smith (Donna Rae) of Chagrin Falls, OH: Alan Locke of Centerport, NY: Rita Berkin (Michael) of Oxford, MD: niece Maressa Kuszewski (Alexander) of Cleveland Heights, OH: and nephew Brant Smith (Erin) of Hudson, OH.  A private family service is scheduled followed by interment at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Chagrin Falls, OH.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or mailed to Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
