Diane Judith (Mau) THOME

Diane Judith Thome (nee MAU) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio was welcomed into heaven surounded by her family on August 14, 2017. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 14, 1944 to Fred and Mary Mau, Diane graduated from Magnificat High School and Mount Aloysius College and married her sweetheart, John Thome, on August 28, 1965. Diane and John raised their four children in Chagrin Falls and Diane was actively involved for over 37 years at the Chagrin Valley Country Club where she enjoyed her friendships made in the ladies 18-hole golf league and couples golf. John and Diane lived part-time in Naples, Florida where they made many friends and enjoyed golfing at the Pelican Marsh Golf Club. Diane embraced everyone who came into her life and enjoyed sharing delicious meals and cocktails (it's 5:00 somewhere!) with friends and family. Her bright smile, laughter and kind generosity will be greatly missed. Diane is survived by her best friend and husband of 52 years, John Sr.; sons John, Jr. (Christine) and Jerry (Jennifer); and daughters Colleen Kennedy (Brian) and Elizabeth Thome. Her greatest pride was being "Grammy" and "G's" to her 11 grandchildren; Jessica, John III, Hallie, Hannah, Tyler, Bryant, Colin, Alec, Ashton, Alison and Paige. She is also survived by her brother, Fred (Pat) Mau, and many nephews and nieces. Friends and family are invited to gather at Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 95 South Franklin Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio on August 16 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 18205 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, Ohio on August 17 at 9:30 am.
