Cynthia Robinson Schinagle, age 87, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022. Cynthia was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Freeman and Alene Robinson. In 1955 she married Allan C. Schinagle and had four children, Cheryl Cameron (Carl), Allan C. Schinagle Jr., Holly Schinagle, and Penny Schinagle and was the proud grandmother of Joshua Schinagle (Cari), CJ and Paige Cameron. A graduate of the University of Louisville in 1954 she received her degree in Dental Hygiene and practiced for several years before she and her husband moved to Russell Township, Ohio. Cynthia was very involved throughout the years in the Cleveland East Alumnae Chapter of Chi Omega Sorority. She was also an avid tennis player, and in later years enjoyed golf, and reading a good book on the beach in Florida. As a volunteer at the Cleveland History Museum, she served on the women’s committee as well as worked in the gift shop. She had a membership in the Music and Drama Club and Cotillion Society as well as volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Chagrin Falls. Because of her interest in gardening, she was a member of various garden clubs, an auxiliary member of the Cleveland Botanical Garden, and Country View Garden Club (where she served as President). In 1974, as a member of the Western Reserve Republican Women’s Club, she and her husband attended the National Republican Convention in Kansas City for the election of Ford/Dole and also served on the committee for the election of Bush/Cheney. She was a true Kentucky girl at heart and enjoyed many Kentucky Derby races and celebrations over the years with her husband and friends. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
