Charles Thomas Miralia
July 13, 1928 – December 2, 2025 (97 years old)
Charles Miralia of Chagrin Falls passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025.
Chuck was born on July 13, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to Benedict and Felicia (Larca) Miraglia. Chuck was the eldest of their four children having grown up with his two brothers (Joe and Ben) and sister (Felicia). He spent his entire life living in Chagrin Falls. His younger years included helping at his dad’s shoe store (current CF Popcorn shop), being active in sports, enjoying music, and being the “big brother” to his siblings. After graduating from Chagrin Falls High School in 1946, Chuck joined the US Army with two of his classmates and served in occupied Japan. Upon his discharge in 1948, Chuck attended both John Carroll University and Dyke Business College where he earned his B.A. Degree. It was during his college years that he began dating the love of his life, Marjorie Lynne Anderson (Chagrin Falls Class of 1951). After several memorable “couples skates” at the Chagrin Falls Roller Rink, they fell in love and were married in 1956. Soon after, Chuck joined the Stock Equipment Company and spent his next 45 years in various positions, retiring as the Plant Manager. Outside of work, Chuck loved playing softball (he was an Ace pitcher), playing the piano and accordion, gardening, swimming, summer vacations with his family and going on collectible (antique) trips with his wife. Chuck and Marge began attending St Martin’s Episcopal Church in 1953 serving in various roles for over 70 years. Chuck was tagged as the “permanent usher” for the 8 am service. Chuck was a very active and involved father of his four boys always supporting their interests and hobbies. He would quickly volunteer to lead and help in Scouts, sports, music interests and church events. Both Chuck and Marge loved their family dogs over the years, supporting the local dog shelters and adopting rescues. Chuck will be remembered most for his tremendous character, and his love for his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Chuck was preceded in death by his son, Ken; and his siblings, Joe, Ben and Felicia.
Surviving him are his wife, Marjorie; son, Bill (Lisa Resetar) and his daughters Lauren (Weston) Muniak and Rachel Hartless; son, Gary (Barb Rentz) and his daughter Sandra Miralia and son Dylan; son Mark (Connie Bridges) and his daughters Annemarie (Garrett) Morrissey and Madeline Miralia; Ken’s daughter Amber (Matthew) Giambrone and son CJ. Chuck also had seven great grandchildren.
