Elizabeth (Bette) Eberhard
Elizabeth (Bette) Francis Eberhard, age 98, died peacefully on Dec 15, 2015 at the Kensington Nursing Home in Aurora Ohio. Bette was a 42 year resident of Aurora Ohio. Bette was born August 1, 1917 on the family's farm in Rushsylvania Ohio to the late Charles and Clara (Duerr) Stanfield. The Stanfield family was the first pioneer family to settle in Logan County Ohio - arriving in 1805. Dave Eberhard, her husband of 51years, preceded her in death in 1995 at age 80. Her son Charles, age 18, died in an auto accident in 1973 in Bainbridge Ohio. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Bette was a graduate of Rushsylvania High class of 1935. Bette worked in the bookkeeping, accounting, and financial fields for over five decades - retiring in 1985. Bette was an avid rug hooker and enthusiastic promoter of the rug hooking craft. She has been a member of the Bainbridge Community Church of Christ for over 40 years and served as Church treasurer throughout the 1970's. Bette is survived by her son David (Nancy) Eberhard of West
Farmington Ohio, her many nieces and nephews, and a wonderful medley of supportive and loving friends. Bette will be buried in the Rushsylvania Ohio cemetery in Logan County. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ, 17751Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023 would be appreciated.A memorial service in celebration of Bette's life is scheduled for Saturday January 16, 2016 at ll am at the Bainbridge Community United Church of Christ, 17751Chillicothe Road (Rt 306), Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023.
