Barbara Elizabeth (Tichy) Sullivan

Barbara Elizabeth Sullivan (age 85) of Uniontown, Ohio passed away peacefully on the morning of May 16th 2019 at Akron General Surgical Intensive Care Unit.  Mom had battled a long illness with bravery and courage.  Mom attended and graduated from John Marshal High School and went on to work in the secretarial field.  She married and became a Mom (which was a challenge raising two boys).  After both of her son’s entered High School she took a position at Cuyahoga Savings and Loan as a teller and eventually was promoted to Branch manager before retiring to take care of her Father.  Mom was proceeded in death by her husband Jerry M. Sullivan and her mother and father - Paul and Elizabeth Tichy and is survived by her brother Paul and his wife Helen Tichy of California, Dennis E. Sullivan of Norton, Ohio and Timothy M. Sullivan of Uniontown, Ohio.

Her wishes were for us not to be saddened or distraught but to look forward and to rest assured that she is now resting peacefully in God’s embrace.  In accordance with her wishes there will not be a Funeral Service or Memorial.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.  The family sincerely appreciates the assistance provided by the Stroud Lawrence Funeral Home in Chagrin Falls Ohio.
