BARBARA CROWE RICHTER

Barbara Crowe Richter, 86, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2021 at the Renaissance Health Center in Olmsted Falls, Ohio.   She was born on June 9, 1935 in Warren, Ohio to Mabel and Gordon Crowe.  She is survived by:  her children Lynn Jones [Sarasota, FL], David (Lisa) Honicky [Bay Village, OH], Bruce (Eileen) Honicky [Chatham, NJ], and Ann (Scot) Ciccarelli [Chatham, NJ]; her grandsons Brian, Luke, Will, Dean, Sam, and James; and her sister, Patricia Crowe.  Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Ralph Richter, her brother, Richard Crowe, and her son-in-law, Steve Jones. 

Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Chagrin Falls High School and a 1957 graduate of Miami University [Oxford, OH] where she earned a degree in Education and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.  While at Miami, she met and later married Donald Honicky with whom she raised her four children in both Ohio and New Jersey.   

In 1991, Barbara and her then husband Ralph moved back to Chagrin Falls where she was a member of the Christian Science Church and worked for several years at Taggarts Toys & Hobbies.  She was also an Indians season ticket holder and loved attending games to cheer on her favorite team.  Barbara will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a loyal friend. 

A private memorial service will be held, and she will be laid to rest, at Evergreen Cemetery in Chagrin Falls.  Those wishing to make a gift are asked to contribute in her name to The Renaissance Health Center in Olmsted Falls, Ohio.
