BARBARA ANN JANES (FOYE)

Barbara Ann (Foye) Janes, 83, of Chagrin Falls (Russell), was peacefully called by the Lord on August 19th surrounded by family and friends.  Barbara was the loving wife, soulmate, best friend and forever love of Barney (Charles Edward) Janes for 60 years.  Beloved mother of Jill M. Janes (Phil Bruening) and Todd Edward Janes.  Loving grandmother of Melissa JoAnne Janes (fiancée Taylor Clem) and Jessica Jillian Janes.  Preceded in death by both of her parents Josephine A. and John T. Foye and her dearest brother Donald T.S. Foye (Yvonne Helen Craffey).  Aunt to Michael (deceased), Jefferey, Scott, Yvette, Theodore (deceased), Patrick and Danielle.  A mother and friend too many.

Graduate from Notre Dame High School and her first job was with Greyhound.  After her children were born, Barbara worked as a secretary at the YMCA in Chagrin, The Saucy Crepe as an executive secretary and for many years she worked at the Chesterland License Bureau.  Later, Barbara owned and operated Answering Plus in Step North, providing answering and secretarial services to many.  Barbara loved to read and worked at the Chagrin Falls Library.  She was also a member of the Chagrin Falls Eagles.

Barney and Barbara loved traveling to many places in the world – Iceland, Australia, China, Thailand, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Egypt, Africa, Germany, France, Denmark, Austria, Ireland and many more. They especially enjoyed spending Winter’s on Sanibel Island for over 40 years.   

Barbara was a beautiful, kind, and loving person you were so happy to have met.  We will miss her dearly; may her heart, spirit and soul live on in all who knew her forever and always.  A Celebration of Life will be determined later.
