Arlene K. (Keller) Abbott

Arlene Abbott (Keller) was born October 5, 1927 in Trotwood, Ohio to Eldon and Edna Keller. She passed away August 15th 2020 as she slept peacefully next to her husband, Jack, of 70 years. They married on March 19th 1950 after their college graduation from Ohio State. While Jack was in Pharmacy School in 1952, Arlene gave birth to John C. Shortly after they moved to Chagrin Falls and in 1954, she gave birth to Corrine D. While they loved living in Chagrin Falls for 67 years they also enjoyed traveling and exploring the world together. Arlene actively volunteered at Hillcrest Hospital, Playhouse Square, Chagrin Little Theater, Sassy Cat, Cleveland and Chagrin Film Festivals. Arlene was also a passionate Life Master Bridge player and had been an Assistant Bank Manager. However, her devotion to family was always her primary priority. Our dear, dear Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma will be greatly missed by her husband, Jack, their children and spouses, John and Lynn Abbott of Bainbridge and Corrine Abbott and Michael Machado of San Francisco, and, of course, their cat, Max. As well as, her Grandchildren, Jessica and James Kissinger of Michigan, Brett and Heather Abbott of Minneapolis and Elise Abbott of Florida. She will also be remembered dearly by her Great Grandchildren Josiah, Jacob, Isaac and Joslyn Kissinger and Jaclynn Abbott. Her family and friends will always remember and hold dear her sweet sincere smile and gentle practical nature as well as admire her civic contributions, love of gardening, animals and needlework. We are eternally grateful for every moment we had together and will endlessly cherish her great sense of humor and wisdom. She will live in our hearts forever.
