Krudy, Adrian George Kégl, 100, passed away peacefully July 12, 2020 in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Krudy was born on January 10, 1920, the younger son of Dr. Elemér and Laura (née Hatvani Gaál), in Budapest, Hungary. After two years at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, he studied medicine. He received M.D. degrees from Pázmány Péter University (Budapest,1945) and Julius Maximilian University (Würzburg,1950). He served as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from 1956 to 1958. Dr. Adrian Krudy was Chief of Radiology of Geauga Community Hospital from 1965 to 1984. A true Renaissance man, in retirement he returned to painting, writing, and translating poetry. He will be sorely missed by his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dr. Catherine Lánczy Krudy, his brother, Elemér, and his parents. He is survived by two sons Dr. Adrian Krudy (Jr) (Margaret) of Shaker Heights, Ohio and Dr. George Krudy (Evalyn) of Houston, Texas, by six grandchildren: Catherine, Danielle, Christina, Nicholas, Zoltán (Soyeon), and Hallie, and great-granddaughter Greer.
A private burial will be held later this year.
