Jeanne B (Bigalow) Tripp

Jeanne B. Tripp (Bigalow), 89, of Chagrin Falls, OH, passed away on February 24, 2018 at the Robinson Pavilion of The Weils of Bainbridge. She was the beloved wife of 51 years to the late Isaac Tripp III: loving Mother of Isaac Tripp IV (Anne), Carol Tripp (Richard Murphy) and the late Cynthia Tripp; cherished grandmother of Catharine Tripp Golden (Ross) of Chagrin Falls, OH, Isaac Henry Gardner Tripp of New York, NY, Beatrice Murphy (Izaak) and Hector Murphy of England; cherished great grandmother of Maryanne E. Golden; daughter of the late Harlan and Ruth Bigalow; brother of James Bigalow; sister of the late Nancy Bigalow Kupfer and sister of the late Harriot Bigalow Gregory. Jeanne graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1946 and attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She transferred to the Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing in Cleveland and graduated in 1951. Following graduation Jeanne married Isaac Tripp III and moved to Detroit, MI where her husband was employed by the Cleveland Twist Drill Company.  Jeanne and her husband moved back to Chagrin Falls in 1955. In 1960, Jeanne took on the role of Treasurer of Etna Products, Inc. a family business headquartered in the Chagrin Valley. She retired in 2010. Jeanne enjoyed aerobic dancing, traveling, gardening, working at the Sassy Cat and playing bridge with her many friends in the Valley.

A memorial service will be held March 23, 2018 at 10:00AM at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023 with the family receiving friends at the Church following the service. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 516 E. Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, OH  44022. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 74924, Cleveland, OH 44194 or to the charity of your choice.
