Carol Bailey Deedrick Cashbaugh, age 88, passed away at her home in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where she had resided for sixty years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William D. Deedrick and is survived by her second husband William E. Cashbaugh. She had two children, David W. Deedrick (Nancy) and Janet E. Larson (Mark), three grandsons, Matthew (Sherry), Robert (Erin) Deedrick and Jack Larson with one great granddaughter Claire Deedrick. She also had three stepchildren, David M. (Eileen) and Robert D. (Lori) Cashbaugh, Elizabeth C. Norrell, four step grandchildren, Travis (Candice) and Tyler (Megan) Cashbaugh, Taylor (Megan) Norrell and Tatum (Dan) Doan and two step great grandchildren, Carson and Paige Cashbaugh.
She was born to Roy and Lida Bailey in Columbus, Ohio. She was raised with her sister, Janet E. Hobson (deceased) in Upper Arlington. She received a BS degree in Psychology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
She was an amazing homemaker, wife and Mother. She was very artistic and met with several dear friends in art, needlepoint and quilting clubs. She enjoyed playing board games and cards. She was also a Life Master in Bridge. She was introduced to Onekama, Michigan in 1948. Carol spend part of every summer at Portage Lake from 1966 through 2015.
Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:30 pm in Saint Martin’s Episcopal Church, 6295 Chagrin River Rd, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022 where she was a member for sixty years. She taught 6th grade Sunday School for three years with William D. Deedrick and served on the Altar Guild for twenty-nine years.
There will be a luncheon immediately following the service where friends may greet the family. A private burial will be held in Onekama, Michigan where she will be buried with her first husband at a later date.
